:poke: But also remember it was KENTUCKY that made it AMAZING. Now 19-0 and soon to be once again ranked #1 in the polls. Besides you can't play basketball in all that snow the ball wouldn't bounce. :D

Actually, I'm from Detroit, MI, USA. I just say that because it seems like ever other hick who hates on ice hockey comes from your state and myself who was alive and remembers 1980 gets more than a little :pissed: when one of your fellow Kentuckians calls up when Skip Bayles guest hosts The Jim Rome Show and applauds like a trained seal when he busts off a "Ice Soccer Sucks and is UN-American" blast. It ALWAYS gets them SO pissed to be reminded of the fact that yes Dr. James Naismith was a Canuck.

If that doesn't bother you, and if you happen to like ice hockey - then I apologize.

I used to like the Red Wings and watched them a lot. But the last few years I just haven't been into it very much. It just doesn't have the same feel to it as it used to, or it may just be me. But I do like hockey just not as much as I did in the 70's and 80's. I don't listen to Jim Rome anymore he just doesn't do it for me either. I understand what you mean we do seem to have a lot of big mouths here, at least when they are anonymous on message boards or call in shows. No it doesn't bother me that Mr. Naismith was a Canadian why should it? I have several Canadian friends and I even cheered for the Expos for a few years, don't ask me why. :)
